I ran out of space when we were in Asheville North Carolina. Tonight we are in Kansas City Missouri, and there is nothing much to say. We drove for 10 hours and we are at a motel. BORING!!! I’d much rather be in Merchant Square.
So I have this opportunity to share a more positive experience when we were in Asheville, which so far is my favorite place. Richard took me to state parks with all the smells and scents that make me forget the BORING ride. One of these parks was Chimney Rock State Park. We took an elevator to the top and looked out to heaven. I think I saw an ancestor in the clouds. She certainly looks a lot like me. Gorgeous.

Good evening Duchess, long drives with motel endings, I agree, can seem endless and boring. We had a lovely sail this afternoon for two hours on Lake Superior which is 350 miles long . No we did not sail for 350 miles but the water was like glass with just a slight breeze! Heavenly. A grilled fresh trout dinner at a local cafe and a fire pit here at the farmhouse. Well, the fire pit is going but we are indoors as the mosquitos are tyrants here in spite of the fire and smoke. (Indoors also) They are humming everywhere! We drive back to Minneapolis tomorrow . We can’t wait to see Lily on Friday evening. When is Richard letting you come home?
