After Indiana left, Leith and Judd did some serious fishing. Just like on the TV fishing shows. It wet their appetites for another trip in July. Indiana has hung up his waders for good. Let me rephrase that “Indiana is going to return his waders because he never wore them and the tag is still attached. But he was ready…
I feel myself slipping out of my western persona as we travel back to Williamsburg. It is like a canine regression it’s so confusing…
Eagle Duchess
Duchess,
You are like Dorothy returning to Kansas in The Wizard of Oz. It’s where she belonged, and Williamsburg is where you belong. I know you had a nice trip, made many friends, and had countless adventures, but our corner of the Close is like a ghost town. You are missed!
Not for long. D
Can’t wait to see you two back in The Close! Safe travels!
Duchess,
the neighborhood is counting the days til your return. We have missed you so much. We’re surprised about the waders but then again, Richard may have felt a little like “a fish out of water”……hmmmmm, had to say that.
Drive safely.
See you soon.
Lily
Hi Duchess!
I hear your sighs of relief and Indiana’s excitement as the rocky and rowdy WEST fades in your dirty new car’s rear view mirror. Soon you will come upon the odors of fish in the James, scents from the lairs of Gray Fox, Science Diet in lieu of jerky, but all the comforts of home as well as a trove of adventurous memories including the appreciation by those to whom you brought so much kindness and understanding and new knowledge.
Until your next adventure, keep a short leash on Indiana!
Cheers, Jeff
I would have paid big money to see Indiana in waders…
If there was any doubt, this trip proves you and Richard belong in Williamsburg. Safe travels ..❤️
